These past several months have been hectic & beyond busy- So after the holidays I will be making a new blog with my new married last name & posting all my recent sessions that I haven't posted. These past few months my computer crashed, I got married, I got extremely sick for 2 weeks straight, I moved into a new place, been busy with pictures and my full time job, & being a mother & a newly wed, ugh!!! I've been over worked & I am tired!!! I am looking forward to finding some time to rest & then finally posting all my sessions from the past few months on my new blog with my married name. I hope everyone has a merry christmas & a happy new year!

I haven't seen Betty since I took her newborn pictures, she is now 6 months old. She's still as cute as can be. When I was getting set up, she was giving such big adorable smiles that I loved. So I was excited for her to show off the smiles once I got out my camera, but she decided she was over smiling (: I wished I could've captured her adorable smiles, but she is still way cute with her serious face. She is seriously so stinkin cute!

Michael Class of 2012

Michael is a Senior this year, Class of 2012. High school is almost over, how exciting! I had fun with this session because I was photographing only one person, that wasn't a little kid or baby. So it made my job much easier. Michael is a cool, laid back, simple type of a person & I think this was one of my easiest sessions I've ever had!

Steven & Mishelle Wedding

This was my very first wedding! I was so excited, I loved every minute of it. But oh my goodness talk about being nervous! This day was so so so HOT outside, all of us were sweating to death. The church where the wedding was held was beautiful, it was a very nice ceremony. The reception was great as well. I loved her dress, she looked sooo pretty. I felt horrible for the groom because his foot is injured and it was painful for him to be walking & standing. I had alot of fun at this wedding eventhough I'd have to admitt, it being my first wedding I was nervous reck & the heat was not helping! (:

Baby Symphony

Symphony is such a pretty baby. I love her hair and all the super cute bows & outfits she wore for our session. I got to use my new backgrounds & a few of my new props with her, that was so much fun for me. I'm loving my new camera & lens, it's so nice to have the image come out the way I want it & I don't have much editing to do. I love the way these turned out, baby Symphony is such a doll!!

Upgrade...

Well it's almost the end of summer & as I mentioned on my facebook page, I have been working on upgrading a few things with my photography. First, I got a new camera & lenes- I couldn't be happier with my new toy, I'm in love with this camera. That alone was a major upgrade. I mean my old camera & lens weren't too shabby but my new camera & the two lenes I got are ssoooo much better. Then I am almost finished getting everything I want to upgrade my inside sessions. In the past I have been doing my inside sessions the ghetto fabulous way, which you have to admit wasn't horrible. But now I have real back grounds & better props. I still ONLY use natural light, so anyone wanting an inside session needs to have plenty of space and good lighting in your home (Inside sessions are done in your home). Maybe one day I'll actually get studio lighting but for now the sun & I get along just fine. I can't wait to use everything & show it all off. Along with my upgrades, there is a slight increase in my prices. But hey no one else can compare to my prices & what all I do for you. I hope you're all excited & happy about my upgrades because trust me I am so happy!!!

Well I got a new camera and lens. So I used my sisters beautiful babies for practice. I am in love with my new camera and lens, I just need to figure out all the millions of new options I have on my new camera. & you probably can't tell by these pictures but you'd think because they are my nieces & nephews that they would be easy to photograph, but no they are such stinkers when it comes to pictures! But yeah I'm excited to learn and use my new camera!! More upgrades for amy castro photography are in the works, be patient, I'm excited about the upgrades coming!

This is the Tipton family, as you can see they are such a cute family. Their older daughter made me laugh, when I'd ask her to smile pretty for me, she'd tilt her head and shrug her shoulders up- it was really cute. Lil Regi

I love how his nose is scrunched in this picture (: Regi was fantastic to photograph, he smiled all by himself. His parents and I didn't even have to bother trying to get him to look at the camera & smile. We only had to get to stay still a few times, he was too busy walking around checking the place out. But he did awesome, I love that he just gave us such perfect smiles with no problem! I tried to get him to sit on this little stool, but he didn't want his parents help or my help sitting on the chair- he wanted to do it all by himself. As you can see in the last picture he tried, he walked around it a few times trying to decide how he should get on, then he tried putting his knees up there & climbing up but he fell. Good thing he didn't get hurt, he got right back up & kept trying. It was funny, all of us were laughing & I'm glad I got the fall in action (:

Rodriguez Family

I had the privelage of taking pictures of their whole family, I love being able to see the grandparents, siblings and grandchildren all together. It's fun taking pictures of the whole family because I always feel like I am at their family get togethers & I get to capture their happy moments together on camera. Plus I like seeing how they interact with one another. In this family, they have all granddaughters expect just one handsome grandson. He is a typical toddler who was wild, but thanks to my amazing assistant we were able to get him to show us his adorable smile! I'd post more pictures but like always I have to control myself- anyways this was a great family, great pictures.

This is my nephew Tregon, he was the first baby boy I've ever taken newborn pictures of. He is such a good baby I was expecting him to be dead asleep the entire time. But he was awake the entire time! He dozed off a few times but most of the time if he dozed off, he'd have one eye open and one eye shut. It was funny. But I was excited that I was able to get a few pictures of him smiling, I only posted one. But it's always fun to see them smile while theyre sleeping.

Baby Isaac is soo adorable. He is a big baby and has such cute chubby cheeks. The thing I love them most about him (other than him just being so cute) is how furry he is. Such a fuzzy lil man, I love it. I wish I had more ideas for baby boys, all the newborns I've ever done happened to be all girls, so my ideas weren't much for a baby boy. But it didn't matter, Isaac is so stinkin adorable he looks good no matter what I did. His dad came up with the idea for the last picture- as you can tell his dad loves WWF stuff, not sure if thats what its really called. But I thought that was a pretty clever idea (:

First of all I can't get over Betty's hair, so darling! I don't even know what to say about this newborn session because everything turned out so great. I love that her name is Betty, I love her hair, I love her cute tiny feet, I love how adorable she is & I love how these pictures turned out. I couldn't be more pleased with them. They actually had a very cute prop for me to use, the box with the letter "B" on it for Betty- I wish I could claim that was my idea/prop but oh well. This beautiful mother is my sister and she is expecting her 4th child. We went to this location I'd been wanting to go to for awhile now and finally got a chance to go, which as I assumed is a great location. I see my sister almost everyday but while I was taking her pictures I kept saying "wow, you're tummy looks big!" I didn't mean it in a bad way, but seeing her all the time I guess I never looked at her tummy for so long ha! I might be a bit biased but she looks AMAZING and she has always been a beautiful pregnant woman. I can not wait to meet my new neice or nephew (it's a suprise) and of course I can not wait to take newborn pictures!

I love the way these turned out, too many cute ones to choose from! A family of this size is so hard to get everyone looking and smiling at the same time, especially with younger children. But man, they did awesome- even the two youngest were giving me huge smiles, it was great! I love how in these pictures without knowing who they are, you can totally tell how much love they have in this family, it's so adorable I love it!

The Donston's were good sports about everything- I felt bad that we planned for a certain location & we had to go to a completely different location at the last minute. The planned destination had a festival going on(which I didn't discover until I got there!) so no room for taking pictures. I'm glad they were willing to go somewhere they didn't plan on going. Then I felt even worse, one of their daughters had hurt her ankle the night before and she was on cruches. So making her stand, sit down, get up, walk over here, sit down, stand up, walk some more- I felt bad for her! But anyways here are some of my favs from their session. I took The Keiths family pictures at a location I'd never been before, but I have been wanting to know where this place was for awhile. So I am happy I found out where this place is and got to take someone's pictures here. Bennett Family

The Bennett family drove so far and I mean far to have their pictures taken by me. So I was honored that they asked me to be the one to take their pictures and that they were willing to drive so extremely far to come to me. They brought their twin cousins along, so they could get a picture of the grandchildren to give as a gift to their grandparents- which is so sweet. My assistant couldn't come with me that day and their adorable little boy thankfully did awesome. He was a typical 3 yr old and made funny faces a lot, but atleast he didn't cry and I think he was the best toddler I've ever had, especially considering I didn't have the help I normally have to make the kids smile. As usual I'm posting a lot of pictures, but I just love to share! & I just have to give a big THANK YOU to the Bennett family for driving soo far, you guys are great!

The Yeager's

I was so happy the leaves were finally falling in time for our session. We almost had to fight people to get a spot to take a picture because so many other people were there too. The Yeager's were good sports about the madness around us. They have four beautiful daughters, whom I took individual pictures of each of them, except I totally forgot about the baby! Paz Family

The Paz family are freinds of mine, last year I photographed just their son but this year I was pleased to get all of them. Their son was so sweet when he was hugging his mom's tummy, to give kisses to his baby brother whom will be here in a couple of months. It was so cute, I know he's going to be such a great big brother. While my freind and I were talking about how their son makes a silly face if you tell him to say "cheese", their son heard us and he began saying "cheese" and giving us his cheezy smile throughout our session. I managed to get a few real smiles out of him, out of pure luck. Eventhough their son had his cheeseball smile, he is still so adorable and it made me smile!

The Perry Family

This cute little family is the Perry's, I was hoping the leaves would be falling in time for thier session and come to find out the cotton had been picked within 24 hrs prior to our session, but the pictures turned out great anyways. I only had to be around them for less than 5 minutes to realize that their daughter is a major daddy's girl, which was sweet. Eventhough she had a case of the wiggles, she was happy to do only what her dad told her to do, ha! Their adorable son, with his awesome mohawk was such a cutie pie and pretty easy to get to smile. I must say I feel pretty lucky to keep getting such great looking families to photograph!

The Mr. & the Mrs. had all their children, their childrens spouses and all their grandchildren in town for the 4th of July weekend. So I had the pleasure of getting pictures taken of everyone! I come from a big family like theirs and having EVERYONE there is always soooo much fun. So I had a great time being there with them and seeing them happy and having fun with one another. In the picture of just the boys, the sons were standing on their tippy toes to see who could look taller in the picture (boys will be boys haha), so when dad decided he'd get on his tippy toes as well it was quite funny!

The Harden Family

This family was brave enough to tuff it out through the heat, I normally see tons of people and photographers at this location but barely anyone was out because it's been so hot outside. The heat wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Plus this family is from out of state, they're from a state that snows all the time. So they aren't even used to the Arizona sun! Finally! I figured out how to make my pictures bigger on here. I had to piece together many different peoples instructions, which were all different. It took me awhile to finally get it right. I still am not sure how I got it to work, but I am excited to have the pictures big enough for everyone to see. I wish I knew how to do this a long time ago but I am happy now (=

The Finch Family

I can't decide which one I like better out of these two

The Finch family is my sister's cute little family. We had quite the adventure trying to take these pictures. This being my sister's family, we drove in the same car to our planned destination for the photos. We had planned on going to Mesa, we were already about 20 minutes behind schedule, rushing before the sun goes down completely about 10 minutes into our drive, while on the freeway we got a flat tire! Then we had to wait 15-20 minutes for my brother in-law to change the tire. So we decided to just go home and try again another day. But on our way home we changed our minds and pulled over at a park to try to hurry to get some shots before the sun was completely gone. Thank goodness we managed to get some shots before the sun was totally gone. I didn't get to do all I had planned and being at a location I had never photographed at before I think they turned out pretty cute!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have adjusted my prices, slightly. There is a $5.00 to $15.00 increase in all the prices.

My photography pricing remains incredibly competitive when compared to other photographers and typical portrait studios (i.e. : Kiddie Kandids, Sears, Wal-Mart, etc....). I do not provide prints, at this time, but I do provide you with a photo CD that will allow you to share your photos online and print them anywhere! Your session fee covers my time, talent and quality. I am committed to having clients that are happy with my photography and if, for some reason, they are not satisfied I will make it right!

I want people to hire me as their photographer because not only do they enjoy my work but also because they appreciate the great pricing I offer.
